About Led Grow Lights

Latest L.E.D Grow lights have been designed to promote healthy plant growth by emitting specific light spectrums for photosynthesis.  Only useful light is produced reducing wasted energy and making led grow lights very effective.  Latest Grow lights are made using high power 1w leds although 3w models have also been developed.  To extend the life of the leds most 3w have their current reduced to make them operate at 2w.

LED Grow lights have many benfits over conventional HPS lamps. Led grow lights vary greatly in capacity.

Initially 15w 225 LED Grow Panels were introduced – these panels were not very powerful and were only good for seedlings and to use as additional lighting along side CFL’s or traditional HPS / HID lamps.

50 LED Grow lights – the next level up.  This particular light usually consists of around 50 x 1w red/blue/orange leds.  A single fan is built into the unit to keep the leds cool and stop them from burning/melting.  Maintaining a cooler operational environment for the leds aids in extending its life span.

90w LED Grow Light – as the prices have decreased this particular model is arguably the most popular and the minimum standard for any serious indoor hydroponics grower.  Unit comes with 90 x 1w leds in red/blue/orange configuration.

120w LED Grow Panel is aimed at the more experienced grower who is probably looking to replace a 300w HPS lamp.

300w L.E.D Grow Panels are made using 144 x 3w high power leds generating a more intense light output.  To maintain a cool running environment the unit comes with 6 built in fans.  These led panels tend to be put in place of traditional 600w to 100w HPS lamps.
